Ho, Ho, Holidays

Here is my attempt at my actual Christmas post.
I just have pictures to show, I guess.

But, first off, everyone has to see Avatar. It is amazing. The imagery is top-notch, and the suggested concepts are great for us Americans to contemplate. In my eyes, James Cameron controversially denied the existence of what most consider God, and replaced it with this idea that we are all interconnected through the Earth (or in the Avatars case, Pandora). The trees were all interconnected with signal transduction, and other bodily chemical and electrical reactions. Also, the Avatars believe to not live/kill in excess. Being a vegetarian, it hit me strongly when Neytiri told Jake that the "ferocious" animals she killed to save his life didn't need to die. I truly believe that since we are the "more advanced" species, we can find alternative ways of protein, and that the world does not revolve around us human beings. We are all interconnected through the Earth; we would not survive without the Earth, and the Earth would not survive without us. All of the Earth's inhabitants are equally important, just humans with their big-headed mindset consider them to be more so.

Anyways, you'll just have to see it for yourself. Best three hours I've ever spent watching any sort of movie.

Back to Christmas...

:Christmas morning is the best.

After we saw Sherlock Holmes, Christmas Day.

We went tubing at Gorgoza Park in Park City, Utah. I highly recommend it for anyone who hasn't gone. It is $20 for two hours, and when it wasn't crowded, it was so much fun!

I feel so happy to be home with my family for this month. They all make me so happy, well sometimes more than others. My bed is huge compared to the measly twin I have in my dorm. I can't believe it is all over in about a week, and it is back to the real world. I'm not sure how all the clothes I have bought this break are going to fit in my dresser at Logan. It should be interesting.

And, I doubt Jared will ever read this, but happy eighteenth yesterday!

May Peace and Love Be With You All
